User Guide
Everything you need to get the most out of WooWand, step by step.
01
Getting started
Create an account
To get started with WooWand:
- Go to the registration page
- Enter your email, username and password (8 characters minimum)
- Add your company name (optional)
- Enter your phone number
- Click "Sign up"
- You'll receive a verification code by SMS — enter it to validate your account
Your account is created with the Free plan (5 credits/month). No credit card required.
Log in with your email and password from the login page.
If you forgot your password, click "Forgot password" to receive a reset link by email. The link is valid for 24 hours.
02
Connect your WooCommerce store
OAuth connection (recommended)
The OAuth method is the simplest and most secure:
- From your dashboard, go to Stores
- Click Add a store
- Enter your WooCommerce store URL (e.g. https://my-store.com)
- Click Connect via OAuth
- You'll be redirected to your WordPress admin
- Click Approve to authorize WooWand
- You're automatically redirected back to WooWand — your store is connected!
Your credentials never pass through our servers. The connection uses WooCommerce's official OAuth 1.0a protocol.
Manual connection
If OAuth doesn't work (some hosts block callbacks):
- In your WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API
- Click Add key
- Give it a name (e.g. "WooWand"), select a user with Administrator rights
- Choose Read/Write permissions
- Click Generate API key
- Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret (they won't be shown again)
- In WooWand, click Manual connection, paste the URL, key and secret
Your keys are encrypted with AES-128 (Fernet) before being stored.
Verify the connection
After connecting, WooWand automatically tests access to your store.
You can re-verify the connection at any time from Stores > your store > Verify connection.
Possible statuses:
- Connected: everything works
- Authentication error: your keys are invalid or revoked
- Unreachable: your site is offline or blocking API requests
03
Install an SEO plugin
Why install an SEO plugin?
WooWand generates meta title, meta description and focus keyword for each product. But these fields are only visible to Google if you have an SEO plugin installed on WordPress.
Without an SEO plugin, the meta tags won't be added to your HTML code — and Google won't see your optimizations.
WooWand automatically detects Yoast SEO and Rank Math. Both are free and excellent.
Install Yoast SEO
Yoast SEO is the most popular SEO plugin for WordPress (over 5 million active installations).
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New
- Search for "Yoast SEO"
- Click Install Now then Activate
- Follow the quick setup wizard (optional but recommended)
- That's it! WooWand will automatically detect Yoast SEO on the next sync
Yoast SEO adds meta title, meta description and focus keyword fields to every WooCommerce product listing.
Install Rank Math
Rank Math is a modern alternative to Yoast, with more features in its free version.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New
- Search for "Rank Math SEO"
- Click Install Now then Activate
- Follow the setup wizard (recommended)
- In Rank Math settings, enable the WooCommerce module if not already enabled
- WooWand will automatically detect Rank Math
Rank Math handles the same SEO fields as Yoast (meta title, description, focus keyword) and adds an SEO score directly in the product editor.
Automatic detection by WooWand
When connecting or syncing your store, WooWand automatically checks if Yoast SEO or Rank Math is installed.
You can see the detected plugin in your store details (Stores page).
If no plugin is detected, WooWand will still optimize the text, but the meta tags won't be published to your site.
04
Sync your products
Launch a sync
Syncing imports all products from your WooCommerce store into WooWand.
- Go to Stores > your store
- Click Sync products
- WooWand fetches all products via the WooCommerce API
- Products appear in the Products tab
The sync respects WooCommerce's 10 requests/second rate limit to avoid overloading your server.
Supported product types
WooWand supports:
- Simple products: fully supported
- Variable products: the parent product and each variant are optimized individually
The following types are automatically skipped (status: SKIPPED):
- Grouped products: these are collections of existing products
- External/affiliate products: they point to an external site
Product slugs (URLs) are never modified to protect your SEO.
05
Optimize product text
Launch a text optimization
- Go to Products and select a product
- In the Text tab, click Optimize
- The AI (Claude AI) analyzes your product and generates:
- An SEO-optimized title (50-70 characters)
- A punchy short description (< 155 characters)
- A structured long description in HTML (H2, H3, lists)
- A meta title for SEO (60 characters max)
- A meta description (155 characters max)
- A focus keyword
- The result appears in the "Optimized" column next to the original
Optimization takes 10-30 seconds. 1 credit is consumed per successful optimization.
Preview before/after
After optimization, you can:
- Text tab: view original and optimized side by side
- Comparison tab: stacked or side-by-side before/after view
- Preview tab: see the final rendering as it would appear on your WooCommerce store
- SEO tab: view meta tags, SERP preview (Google preview), and focus keyword
You can edit the generated content directly before publishing.
Quality score
Every product receives a quality score out of 10, before and after optimization.
The score analyzes 8 criteria:
- Title length and keywords
- Short description quality
- Long description length and structure
- HTML validity and heading hierarchy
- Image count and resolution
- Keyword density and natural distribution
- Content uniqueness
- Category relevance
The goal is to go from scores of 2-4 to 7-9+.
06
SEO keyword research
Access SEO research
Keyword research is available from the SEO tab of each product.
- Open a product
- Click the SEO tab
- Use the search field to find keywords
- Results show monthly search volume, SEO difficulty, and estimated CPC
Data comes from DataForSEO, one of the most reliable SEO data providers on the market.
Understand the metrics
Each keyword displayed includes:
- Volume: number of monthly Google searches
- Difficulty: score from 0 to 100 (0 = easy to rank, 100 = very competitive)
- CPC: estimated cost per click in Google Ads (indicates the keyword's commercial value)
Prioritize keywords with good volume, moderate difficulty (< 50), and high CPC — they have the best conversion potential.
Related and long-tail keywords
WooWand also suggests related keywords and long-tail phrases.
Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific expressions (e.g. "organic cotton summer dress women" instead of "summer dress"). They have less volume but convert better.
Use them to enrich your product descriptions and capture more qualified traffic.
SERP preview
The SERP preview shows you how your product will appear in Google search results.
It displays:
- The meta title (in blue, clickable)
- The page URL
- The meta description (in gray)
This lets you verify that your meta tags are well-formatted and attractive before publishing.
07
Generate AI images
Available styles
WooWand offers several image generation styles:
- Studio: clean white or gray background, professional e-commerce look
- Lifestyle: product in use context, aspirational setting
- Packshot: product + packaging view, technical precision
Choose the style in the product's Images tab, add a custom prompt if desired, then click Generate.
Generation takes 30-60 seconds. 1 credit per image.
Generate a packshot (4 images)
Packshot mode generates 4 complementary images in one click:
- Front view with model
- Product alone on neutral background
- Lifestyle setting (front view)
- Lifestyle setting (profile view)
Ideal for filling your product gallery in a single operation. Costs 4 credits (1 per image).
Nano-Banana images
WooWand also offers a second image generator: Nano-Banana (via kie.ai).
Two models are available:
- nano-banana: fast, good for testing
- nano-banana-pro: better quality, more detail
These images are accessible in the dedicated section of the Images tab. They offer a different style — try both to find the best fit for your products.
Publish images to WooCommerce
Once your images are generated:
- Preview them in the gallery
- Click Publish images
- WooWand uploads them to your store's WordPress media library
- They are automatically assigned to the product
For upload to work, you must have configured your WordPress credentials (username + application password) in the store settings.
08
Generate AI videos
Create a product video
Videos are generated by Kling 3.0 via kie.ai:
- Open a product and go to the Video tab
- Write a prompt describing the desired video
- (Optional) Click Optimize prompt — Claude AI will automatically improve your description
- Choose the settings:
- Format: 16:9 (landscape), 9:16 (portrait for mobile/social), 1:1 (square)
- Duration: 3, 5, 8, 10 or 15 seconds
- Mode: Standard (fast) or Professional (high resolution)
- (Optional) Add a reference image — it will be used as the first frame
- Click Generate video
Track job status
Video generation takes a few minutes. You can track the status in real time:
- Waiting: your job is in the queue
- Processing: the video is being generated
- Complete: your video is ready — you can preview and download it
- Failed: an error occurred — no credits are consumed
The page automatically refreshes until generation is complete.
Manage your videos
All videos generated for a product are listed in the Video tab.
For each video, you can:
- Preview it with the built-in player
- Download it in MP4 format
- Delete it if it doesn't suit your needs
Videos are stored securely and remain accessible as long as your account is active.
09
Publish to WooCommerce
Publish optimized text
After reviewing and validating the optimizations:
- Click Publish on the product page
- WooWand sends the optimized text to your WooCommerce store via the REST API
- Fields updated: title, short description, long description
- If an SEO plugin is detected: meta title, meta description and focus keyword are also published
The product slug (URL) is never modified.
If you change your mind after publishing, use Rollback (see next section).
Publish images
To publish generated images:
- Make sure your WordPress credentials are configured (Stores > your store > WP Credentials)
- In the Images tab, click Publish images
- Images are uploaded to the WordPress media library
- They are assigned as product images
Note: you need to create a WordPress application password. In your WordPress admin: Users > your profile > Application Passwords > Add New.
10
Rollback (restore original)
How to revert to the original
WooWand automatically saves the original version of each product before any optimization.
To restore the original:
- Open the product
- Click the Rollback button
- Confirm the restoration
- The product reverts to its original version
Rollback is available even after publishing to WooCommerce.
What gets restored
Rollback restores:
- Original title
- Original short description
- Original long description (HTML)
- Original image
- Original meta title and meta description
The optimization history is kept even after a rollback — you can still view previous versions.
11

Create a template
Templates define the AI's writing style for your optimizations.
- Go to Templates from the sidebar menu
- Click New template
- Give it a name (e.g. "Minimalist luxury", "Dynamic sport")

- "Target women aged 25-35"
- "Use informal language"

Troubleshooting
My store won't connect
Check the following:
- The URL is correct: it must be the full URL of your store (https://my-store.com)
- WooCommerce is installed and activated on your WordPress site
- The REST API is enabled: WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API
- Permalinks are configured: WordPress > Settings > Permalinks > choose a format other than "Plain"
- Your host isn't blocking API requests: some hosts have strict firewalls. Contact your host if needed
If OAuth doesn't work, try the manual connection method.
Optimization failed
Possible causes:
- Store unreachable: verify your site is online. WooWand automatically retries 3 times
- Not enough credits: check your balance in Billing
- Incompatible product: grouped and external products are skipped
- Temporary AI API error: try again in a few minutes
No credits are consumed for failed optimizations. You receive a notification when a job fails.
I've run out of credits
Available options:
- Wait for renewal: credits reset at the start of your next billing cycle
- Buy a pack: from Billing, purchase additional credits (20, 50, or 100)
- Upgrade your plan: to get more monthly credits
You receive an email alert when you have 20% of your credits remaining.
Score isn't improving
If the quality score isn't increasing significantly:
- Check images: the score takes image count into account. Generate images to gain points
- Add target keywords: use SEO research to identify the right keywords
- Use a template: a template with specific instructions gives better results
- Complete WooCommerce attributes: categories, tags, price — the AI uses this information for context
A score of 7-8/10 is excellent. A score of 9-10 is exceptionally rare.
